Up & Running w/ IMG Funnels
Welcome to the Up & Running course for IMG Funnels! Each lesson has a video. Each section has a quiz. Purchase the videos and quizzes for this course at https://checkout.imgfunnels.com/online-courses. In the videos, I walk through each lesson one by one and explain each step in order—as they appear in the post.
During the course, you will hear me referring to IMG Funnels as “Image Funnels”. This is because IMG is an abbreviation for “image”. For example, in HTML, an
<img/> tag is used to represent an image.
We will be using a “Demo” account during the course so as to prevent leaking any personal data or information.
The sections of each post are listed at the top right of the post (or at the bottom if you’re on mobile). You will find a breadcrumb at the top of each post and a link to the next post at the bottom of each post. If you ever need help, you can always reach out to your Account Manager by clicking the button in the bottom right.
Here’s what you will need:
The first thing that you will see when you log into your account will be The Launchpad. Follow the steps in the Launchpad to help you get started as quickly as possible.
- Install the mobile app (called “LeadConnector“)
Tip: The Launchpad is a quick way to get started but it doesn’t cover everything. If you would like to continue with more business integrations, go to Settings > Integrations. Your personal integrations are available in Settings > Profile (under Business Services).
Your domain is the address (or URL) associated with your website.
Add your domain to your account by navigating to Settings > Domains.
Tip: If you already have a website or if you plan on using another builder, such as WordPress, you may want to use a subdomain instead of your root domain.* Something like the
app subdomain (
app.example.com) will work.
⚠️ Caution! ⚠️ Setting a
CNAME record with your root domain will redirect all traffic on your website to IMG Funnels.
* What is a root domain?
A root domain consists of the protocol and domain name. It may not have a subdomain, a path, a query, or a fragment.
Tip: If you would like a jumpstart on SEO*, check out this post from our partner company, DM Holdings: Up & Running With SEO. SEO will help internet users to find your site using search engines.
* What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic.
Your contacts are the lifeblood of your business. If you already have a list of contacts, you can import them into IMG Funnels by navigating to Dashboard > Contacts and clicking the Import Contacts button.
To add contacts manually, click the Add button.
Tip: If you don’t have any contacts yet, don’t worry. We will cover the topic of lead generation in another lesson.
Every time someone fills out a form created with the Form Builder, their information goes into Contacts and they are categorized as a Lead by default. The Form Builder can be found by navigating to Sites > Forms > Builder.
Tip: You can create Standard Operating Procedures by using the Add Task Action in your Workflows. More about Workflows in another lesson.
What is a Standard Operating Procedure?
A Standard Operating Procedure, or SOP, is a set of step-by-step instructions compiled by an organization to help workers carry out routine operations.
Start by navigating to Dashboard > Marketing and then select the Social Planner tab.
The Social Planner allows you to post to multiple social media platforms at the same time.
* What is a Content Strategy?
Content strategy is the planning, development, and management of content—written or in other media.
